Members of Easy Company, the "Band Of Brothers", of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division in Ste. Marie-du-Mont, June 7, 1944. The Screaming Eagles were photographed with GI's of the 4th Infantry Division who had come ashore at Utah Beach on D-Day. The photograph was taken by Easy Company member Walter Gordon, using a camera belonging to Forrest Guth (front row, far left). The photograph is autographed in black marker by Guth. The six Easy paratroopers in the photo are (from left): Forrest Guth, Frank Mellet, David Morris, Daniel West, Floyd Talbert, and C.T Smith. Gordon, Guth, Talbert and another E Company paratrooper, John Eubanks, linked up after their jump into Normandy. They spent June 6 defending a crossroads by Utah Beach. This photograph was taken the next day as the Screaming Eagles moved into Ste. Marie-du-Mont after the Germans pulled out.
The finished piece measures 17" x 13 3/4". The photograph is matted in dark olive green, with a red mat onto which authentic reproduction patches for the Screaming Eagles and 506th PIR are mounted. The frame is black metal. A solid-wood frame in Cherry, Walnut or Mahogany-finish is available for an additional $65.
